Revisted
Due to the
ongoing reconstruction of Christchurch City, New Zealand following the
earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, the 3rd World Vintage Softball Carnival will be
held in Oahu, Hawaii between the 19th and 27th of October next year.
With the strong backing of the Hawaii Amateur Softball Association and their
President, Don Meinel, the Carnival will be open to softballers over the age of

Vintage Softball is inclusive not exclusive and is open to teams of all ages
(over 35), agility, ability and experience. Not 35-take a look at the end of the
letter.
All that is needed is a love of the game, an enthusiasm for friendly competition
against teams from other parts of the world, an enjoyment of travel to one of
the great destinations and an ability to enjoy fun and friendship off the
diamond.
The Carnival will feature Fast Pitch Sections for Mens and Womens teams and a
Slow Pitch Section for Mens, Womens and Co-ed teams.
All Games will be played at either Central Oahu Regional Park Softball Complex
where 10 diamonds will be made available to the Carnival and at Koko Head
District Softball Park. Teams are guaranteed to play on excellent softball
diamonds supported by excellent facilities. There will be the opportunity for
some teams to play games under flood lights.
All games will be 90 minutes in duration and played under ASA rules. The rules
and spirit of Vintage Softball, Fast Pitch and Slow-Pitch offers the opportunity
to share the competitive fun of the game on the diamonds and the social fun in
Waikiki with teams from all parts of the world.
